The 5 Best Cabo, Mexico Luxury Resorts for Families with Little Kids
Ah, Cabo San Lucas. Land of endless practically perfect days, delicious food, and—wait for it—some of the most family-friendly luxury resorts I’ve ever encountered. That’s right, Cabo isn’t just for partiers and honeymooners; it’s also a paradise for parents with little kids, with excellent amenities and a relaxing vibe.
My family and I recently spent a week resort-hopping in Cabo, and between the amazing pools and kids clubs, I found myself completely smitten with the variety of kid-friendly options. We visited five standout resorts, and while they each had their unique vibe, they all managed to make traveling with a little one feel like less of a herculean task and more of an actual vacation. Here’s what we loved about each one:
1. Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection
Best pool of the trip
If pools were an Olympic sport, Chileno Bay by Auberge would take the gold. Their meandering pool stretches from a Mediterranean restaurant (yum) all the way down to the beach, with three distinct sections to suit your every mood. But the real gem? The little kids’ pool.
It wasn’t some sad, hidden puddle in the back corner—it had an incredible view of the ocean and was huge, with plenty of ankle deep water that meant my son could splash around without us having to carry him everywhere in the pool. It made it easier for us to relax nearby, and I sat there thinking, “Why isn’t every kid’s pool this gorgeous?”
We stayed in a garden room with its own plunge pool that could be heated like a jacuzzi, which was perfect for after he went to sleep for the evening.
The kids club was also large and offered free childcare for kids aged 4-12, with the option to accompany younger kids or take advantage of their onsite nanny service. There’s also a swimmable public beach steps away, and a lovely calm cove in front of the resort. I’d absolutely stay there again.

2. Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal
Best private pool and wildlife views
Picture this: you’re lounging in your own private pool, whales breaching in the distance, and mobula rays flipping out of the water like they’re auditioning for a nature documentary. That’s the Waldorf Astoria at Pedregal for you. Every room comes with a pool, which was a godsend for us. We could swim on our own schedule in complete privacy while watching whales breach in the distance.
While the beach here isn’t swimmable, the main pool was lovely, albeit with a little kids’ pool that felt more tucked away than I’d prefer. The smaller kids’ club was still sweet, but the real magic of this resort is its proximity to Cabo itself—making it easy to escape the resort bubble for some city exploration, as well as the incredible surroundings. The resort feels like it was built right into the rock, and is an aesthetic dream with the best views we had of the trip. I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

3. Four Seasons Resort and Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol
Most aesthetic, best swimmable beach
This shiny newcomer to Cabo opened in 2024, and oh, what a beauty she is. The Four Seasons has one of the best swimmable beaches I’ve seen in the area, with a gentle surf perfect for kids who love swimming and snorkeling. I also loved their family pool, complete with a splash pad area and views of the private beach.
The suites and residences are gorgeous, with plenty of space to spread out, with such an aesthetic vibe, clean lines, perfect areas to hang out whether in the garden sipping a sundowner, and stunning rooms that ranged from corner suites with sweeping views to residences with their own pools. Their kids’ club is extensive and thoughtful, with rotating activities, free childcare for ages 4-12, and an onsite nanny service for kids under 4.

4. Grand Velas Los Cabos
Best all-inclusive option for families
This is where luxury meets ease. With its ocean-view rooms, Michelin-star dining (that’s right, parents can still eat like royalty), and an extensive kids’ club, Grand Velas knows how to make everyone happy. The rooms are large and family-oriented, and I’ve never seen so many amenities offered to families. The rooms had a standard crib, but even came with high chairs, binkies, bottle cleaners and steamers, strollers, high chairs, and their kids club had longer hours than most other resorts on this list. They also offer onsite nanny services.
Each room has an ocean view, there’s a teen’s club, and the resort had a layout that doesn’t make you walk miles just to find a snack.

5. Montage Los Cabos
Best bay for swimming and charming grounds
The calmest waters of the trip were at the Montage Los Cabos, thanks to its lovely, tranquil bay. I would actually consider entering the water holding my son here.
Their multi-room villas are perfect for families and even come with their own butler and private chef for a freshly cooked breakfast. While their kids’ club is smaller, it’s thoughtfully designed. The Montage also wins for its charming little ice cream shop and grounds that made every stroll feel like a mini adventure. Plus, the restaurants serve up elevated Mexican cuisine and Thai food!

The Final Verdict
Cabo isn’t just doable with a two-year-old; it’s downright delightful when you pick the right places to stay. From the pool perfection at Chileno Bay to the family-first luxury of Grand Velas, each of these resorts offered something special. Sure, traveling with a toddler is never going to be completely stress-free (RIP to the sunscreen bottle that exploded in my bag), but these five resorts made it as close as humanly possible.
So pack the sand toys, book a direct flight, and embrace the chaos—it’s worth it. Cabo’s waiting, mocktail in one hand, and a perfectly warmed baby bottle in the other.
