The Most Baby + Toddler-Friendly Luxury Resorts in Maui (We Experienced them all!)

The Best Baby + Toddler-Friendly Luxury Resorts in Maui

Traveling to Maui with a baby or toddler can feel either blissfully easy or quietly exhausting — and the difference almost always comes down to where you stay. Space, pools that don’t stress you out, forgiving beaches, and service that anticipates needs instead of reacting to them matter more than anything once naps and early bedtimes enter the picture.

These are the Maui luxury resorts that truly work with babies and toddlers — and why.

We personally stayed at our toured all of these, so if you’re looking for firsthand experience, you’re in the right place.

1. Montage Kapalua Bay

Montage is the calmest, most peaceful luxury stay on Maui for families. With only about 70 all-residence units, it never feels crowded, rushed, or loud. Everything about it is designed to slow you down.

The residences here are luxurious, spacious, and many of them have multiple bathrooms, walk-in closets, in-unit washer and dryers, and the beachfront units have incredible views. The pool was also our favorite, with multiple pools and waterfalls and a newly-added slide!

It’s also located on a prime snorkeling beach in Maui – Kapalua bay.

Why it works with babies & toddlers

  • All-residence resort with full kitchens, laundry, and real living space
  • Multi-bedroom residences up to four bedrooms (ideal for bigger groups)
  • Recently revamped pool with a small toddler-friendly waterslide
  • One of the best resort pools anywhere — layered, expansive, and full of quiet nooks
  • Calm Kapalua Bay below, great for easy snorkeling and spotting turtles

Best for: families who want peace, space, early bedtimes, and a more residential feel. Read our full Montage Kapalua Bay review here.

Booking with benefits: Book through a luxury travel agent (us!) via Virtuoso to receive $45 daily breakfast credits for 2 per bedroom, a $150 spa credit, priority for view upgrades, and early/late check-in when available — at the same rate as booking direct.

2. Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea

Four Seasons Maui is effortless in the way only Four Seasons can be. Everything runs smoothly, service is impeccable, and it somehow manages to work beautifully for families without ever feeling like a “family resort.”

The beach here is great for boogie boarding and playing in gentle waves. The water is crystal clear, and while it might not be known for snorkeling, you’re likely to see a sea turtle or two if you hang out for long enough.

Why it works with babies & toddlers

  • Crystal-clear beach with gentle, playful waves kids can actually enjoy
  • Great for toddlers old enough to get past the small break
  • Multiple pools including a small waterslide and a large fountain pool
  • Free cabanas (no extra charge, which is rare)
  • Kids For All Seasons programming + kids club
  • Free 10-minute photo session using your phone — photos instantly yours

Best for: families who want legendary service, an excellent swimmable beach, and zero friction. Read my full Four Seasons Maui at Wailea review, or if you’re deciding between Montage and Four Seasons, here’s our comparison.

Booking with benefits: Book through us as a Four Seasons Preferred Partner for daily breakfast for 2 ($120 daily value), $100+ resort credit, upgrade priority, and flexible check-in/out when available — all for the best available rate!

3. Fairmont Kea Lani

Image

Fairmont Kea Lani has long been a go-to for families because space is built into the experience. It’s one of the easiest resorts on Maui to settle into with young kids – the biggest reason being that all the rooms have suites with closing doors, so regardless of which view you choose, you can have separate sleeping spaces for parents and children with king beds and pull out couches.

They also have a 100 foot waterslide and up to 3 bedroom residences with their own plunge pools.

Why it works with babies & toddlers

  • All-suite resort = more room to spread out
  • Separate sleeping and living areas make evenings easier
  • Family-friendly layout without feeling chaotic
  • Located in Wailea, close to beaches and other resorts

Best for: families who want space and comfort without committing to a full villa.

Booking with benefits: When booked with us, Fairmont includes breakfast for two per day ($120 value), $100 resort credit, upgrade priority, and early check in and late checkout priority.

It’s also worth mentioning Fairmont is the only hotel on this list that doesn’t have compulsory valet parking.

4. Andaz Maui at Wailea

Andaz is modern, design-forward, and a little more grown-up — but it can still work very well with babies and toddlers if you plan it right.

Though you won’t find waterslides here, you will find a nice beach, multiple pools, and plenty of onsite restaurants. The biggest downside for us was the pools weren’t as heated here as they were at the Montage and Four Seasons, and on cloudy days, that actually made for a cold experience!

Still, it’s a beautiful resort and is at a lower price point than many of the others on this list, and they have multi-room residences up to 4 bedrooms.

Why it works with babies & toddlers

  • Multiple pools spread across the property
  • Beautiful beach access in Wailea
  • Walkable area with lots of dining nearby

Best for: parents who want a stylish resort that still functions with young kids.

Booking with benefits: Booking through a Hyatt Prive agent unlocks breakfast, $100 resort credits (sometimes more!), upgrade priority depending on availability, early check in and late checkout upon availability, and extra activities and full Hyatt points.

5. Grand Wailea

Grand Wailea is high-energy in the best way for kids who love water and movement. It’s big, lively, and endlessly entertaining for kids. For those with kids aged 7+, this might be a great option since it has bigger waterslides, and is on the same gorgeous beach as the Four Seasons next door.

Though I stayed here before the Waldorf Astoria took ownership, I can vouch the location is gorgeous, and the pool really is next level for slightly older kids.

Why it works with families

  • Massive pool complex with multiple water features
  • Tons of stimulation for active kids
  • Located right on Wailea Beach
  • Always something happening

Best for: families with high-energy kids who want maximum water play.

Booking with benefits: We can often secure better pricing than is available online, while adding Hilton for Luxury preferred-partner perks including breakfast credits, $100 resort credits, upgrade priority when available, early check in and late checkout upon availability, full Hilton points.

6. The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua

Ritz-Carlton Kapalua feels more like a retreat than a scene. It’s quieter, spread out, and well-suited for families who want luxury without constant stimulation.

Why it works with babies & toddlers

  • Calm, predictable atmosphere
  • Spacious grounds that never feel overwhelming
  • Kapalua location tends to be quieter overall

Best for: families who want a peaceful luxury base with a slower pace.

Booking with benefits: Booking through us adds preferred-partner perks like breakfast, credits, and upgrade priority at no extra cost.
