Quince Baby and Toddler Pajamas – I Tried Them To See If They’re Worth It

We’re big fans of bamboo baby clothes. When my son developed eczema, I became particularly interested in what fabrics we were putting against his skin, and bamboo pajamas quickly became a staple in our house.

We’ve tried just about every brand under the sun, and while I love bamboo PJs, there’s one thing I usually don’t particularly love about them: the price.

When your child is growing out of clothes every few months, spending $35–40 on a single pair of pajamas starts to feel a little ridiculous, especially when you need several pairs in rotation.

Enter Quince. Their approach to making elevated basics more affordable extends to their baby and toddler pajama collection. They offer both organic cotton and bamboo pajamas, with many styles starting at just $19.90.

But how do they actually compare to the more expensive brands? Here’s my full review after testing them on a busy toddler:

TL;DR – I see no difference between Quince and the pricier brands. The quality is just as sturdy, the fabric is just as soft, and you can get way more for the money. Get them here.

Quince Bamboo Baby and Toddler Pajamas

Quince’s bamboo pajamas are made from 95% viscose derived from bamboo and 5% spandex, which is a similar fabric composition to what you’ll find from several premium bamboo baby brands, but Quince offers theirs for considerably less, starting at $19.90.

The fabric is designed to be silky, lightweight, and stretchy, with a smooth finish against the skin. The 5% spandex helps the pajamas retain some elasticity, which is particularly helpful with little ones who seem to grow overnight.

One of the selling points of Quince’s bamboo fabric is its breathability. It’s designed to work in different temperatures without feeling too heavy. They’re also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning the material has been tested for a range of potentially harmful substances.

The baby footies have two-way zippers for diaper changes (can we just agree that it’s two way or I’m not buying it?), protective zipper guards, and fold-over mittens in the smallest sizes. The toddler collection also includes two-piece sets, with the same stretchy bamboo fabric.

That’s what we tested, and just look at these cute patterns:

I think the most interesting thing about these is the price. Bamboo pajamas have become almost synonymous with expensive baby clothes, yet Quince is offering a very similar fabric composition for around half the cost of several established brands. What I like about their bamboo pajamas

At $19.90 for many of their bamboo styles, Quince is substantially less expensive than Little Sleepies or Kyte Baby, whose comparable sets can cost nearly twice as much.

Quince Organic Cotton Baby and Toddler Pajamas

As much as I love bamboo, I’m also a fan of organic cotton, particularly when I want something that feels a little more substantial.

Quince’s organic cotton pajamas are made from 100% organic cotton rather than a cotton-polyester blend, which I appreciate. They’re also certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, meaning the finished textiles have been tested against the standard’s limits for certain potentially harmful substances.

The collection includes zippered one-pieces, footed pajamas, and two-piece sets for toddlers.

What I especially like about the cotton collection is that it offers a thicker option from the super-stretchy bamboo pajamas that feels perfect for cooler weather without requiring a big jump in price.

Quince Bamboo vs. Organic Cotton: Which Is Better?

I don’t think one is necessarily better than the other. It depends on what you’re looking for.

If I were shopping for a baby with sensitive skin, I’d consider both, paying attention to how the child actually responds since kids can be so different.

For older toddlers, the bamboo toddler pajamas are great for warmer weather, and we love the cotton for cooler days.

For everyday cotton pajamas, Quince’s organic cotton is a strong contender, particularly if you prefer to avoid synthetic blends.

How Does Quince Compare to Kyte Baby and Little Sleepies?

This is probably the biggest question for anyone who’s already invested in the more expensive bamboo brands.

Kyte Baby and Little Sleepies have been longtime favorites in our house. I’ve bought their pajamas for my son as well as for Garrett and myself, and I understand why people become so loyal to them.

At the time of writing, Quince’s standard bamboo toddler two-piece sets are $19.90, compared with around $38 for Little Sleepies and $40 for Kyte Baby.

I honestly can’t see a big difference between Quince and the other brands for standard bamboo PJs or onesies. They’re very similar, and considering how quickly kids outgrow PJs, might as well spend less.
