The Perfect Phuket Itinerary with Babies and Little Kids
Thailand is one of my favorite places to travel with kids. It’s beautiful and welcoming, the service is incredible, and everything is designed to make life easier for families — especially when you choose resorts that truly understand strollers, baby beds, kids pools, and nap schedules.
And because Phuket is so well connected, it’s not the only possible destination — it’s the gateway to nearby islands like Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi, where you can experience a calmer, more peaceful side of Thailand without long travel days.
As always, when you book through our travel advisory, Muse Bespoke Escapes, you’ll receive benefits and support not available when booking through a generic travel site:
✨ Complimentary breakfast
✨ Possible room upgrades
✨ Early check-in and late check-out whenever available
✨ VIP recognition and welcome amenities
✨ Resort credits at select properties
✨ A real human (hi!) to help if anything goes sideways
Now let’s talk about where to stay — and why each one works so beautifully with littles.
Anantara Mai Khao

A fantastic arrival resort thanks to its easy airport access and long, peaceful beach where you can unwind from the flight. Families love the lagoon pool and the bike paths around the property — they even have baby seats so the whole family can cruise together. Cooking classes, cultural activities, and dining options with familiar flavors all help little travelers settle in fast.
It’s the perfect way to adjust to the time zone before you venture farther out. Read our full Anantara Mai Khao review.
InterContinental Phuket

If you like being near great restaurants, shopping, and activities, InterContinental Phuket delivers easy luxury with an unbeatable location. Everything is seamless — beachfront pools, shady loungers, lots of dining options, and thoughtful kids’ programs. This is a winner for families who appreciate convenience and a little more action.
It’s a strong home base for exploring Phuket’s cultural side.
Aleenta Phuket

Small, intimate, and right on a quiet stretch of beach, Aleenta is an ideal choice for parents who want slower mornings, spacious accommodations, and a place that feels homey instead of sprawling. Many rooms come with multiple sleep spaces, which is huge when you’re traveling with babies who go to bed early. The sea is calm, and the vibe is peaceful — a reset button pressed firmly.
It’s a nurturing place to unwind and reconnect as a family. Read our full Aleenta Phuket review.
Anantara Koh Yao Yai

This newer resort is one of Thailand’s best family-forward luxury options right now. Villas and rooms are designed for families from the ground up — separate kids’ sleeping spaces, oversized bathtubs, and outdoor areas where toddlers can roam (within parent-approved eyesight, of course). There’s a splash zone, a kids’ club, and gently lapping waves that make beach play feel totally safe.
If your vision of vacation includes barefoot walks, naps to ocean breezes, and endless sand play, this is the island escape for you.
Six Senses Yao Noi

If you’ve seen those dramatic limestone cliffs rising out of turquoise water — this is where that fantasy becomes real. Six Senses Yao Noi is a dream for parents who still want adventure and drama in their surroundings, but without sacrificing comfort for the kids. Private pool villas give you built-in downtime. Stroller-friendly pathways help you move around easily. The kids’ club and babysitting services mean you can enjoy one of the most magical spas in Southeast Asia while your little ones have fun too.
This is a property that truly blends wow moments with relaxation — perfect for the grand finale of your trip. Read our full Six Senses Yao Noi review.
Phuket + Koh Yao Yai + Koh Yao Noi Itinerary
Baby and toddler approved.
Day 1: Settle In + Beach Time

Check into your beautiful family-friendly resort, kick off your shoes, and let the warm air and sea breezes work their magic.
Our favorite places to stay with extra agent perks available:
- Anantara Mai Khao — Huge suites and pool villas, serene beachfront, and a fantastic kids’ club.
- Intercontinental Phuket — Elegant beachfront property with incredible food and a gorgeous stretch of Kamala Beach.
- Aleenta Phuket — Dreamy villas and a peaceful, uncrowded beach that’s perfect for little feet and stroller naps.
The first day is all about easing in — swimming pools, sandcastle building, fresh coconuts, and an early night. Everyone’s adjusting, and that’s okay.
Day 2: Dino Mini Golf + Ethical Elephant Experience
The kids are going to love this.
Morning: Head to Dino Park Mini Golf in Kata for dinosaur roars, volcanic “explosions,” and the kind of mini-golf that’s more photo op than competitive sport. Go right when it opens so the kids can explore before the heat kicks in.
Afternoon: Visit the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary — Phuket’s most ethical way to meet these gentle giants. Short programs let kids watch elephants roaming, splashing, and living freely. There are stroller-friendly areas, but a baby carrier is helpful too.
Evening is a casual dinner and early bedtime so everyone wakes up excited for more fun.
Day 3: Phuket Old Town + Indoor Play Time
Phuket isn’t just about the beach — its culture and history are truly special.
Morning in Phuket Old Town
Stroll along colorful Sino-Portuguese streets, grab smoothies and iced Thai tea in cute cafés, and take breaks anytime you need AC. There’s so much visual stimulation here — the murals are a highlight for toddlers!
Optional: If you’re visiting on Sunday, come back in the evening for the Walking Street Night Market — snacks, souvenirs, and music. Wear the baby in a carrier for easier maneuvering.
Afternoon: A soft-play stop like Kidzooona or Happy Kids Club gives everyone a break from the weather and helps burn off some energy.
Days 4-6: Boat Adventure to Koh Yao Noi or Koh Yao Yai
Move on to a slower, quieter, more relaxed and local side of Thailand with Koh Yao Noi and Yao Yai.
- Six Senses Yao Noi and Anantara Yao Yai both have incredible access to Phang Nga Bay — limestone peaks rising right out of jade-green water. A short trip means calm seas and happy kiddos.
- Choose a private charter with shade, kids’ life jackets, and the flexibility to return early if needed.
Then it’s naps, pool time, maybe a sunset coconut for you… bliss.
Phuket and its surrounding islands are amazing for families — but choosing the right resort (with the right room type!) is everything. That’s what we do best.
