Is Hermoza Worth It? I Tried Their Swim and Dresses to Find out!
So, is Hermoza worth it? It's not cheap, though they do frequently have sales and offer 15% off for first time purchases. Their pieces are not only stylish and functional but also crafted with a level of care that makes them stand out as affordable luxury items.
4.5
I stumbled upon Hermoza while researching family matching brands, and I immediately loved the styles and had to try them for myself. The dresses were so classy, the swim suits looked like they had flattering cuts, and as a postpartum momma, swimwear I feel good in is worth its weight in gold.
Having now tried both their swimwear and dresses for myself, and matching swimwear for my toddler, these are my thoughts on the quality of Hermoza and whether or not it’s worth the money:
By the way, I bought both swimsuits and boy trunks with my own money, and Hermoza was kind enough to gift me dresses to review as well:
The Bohemian Elegance Aesthetic
One of the first things that drew me to Hermoza was their exquisite color palette and bohemian design aesthetic. With designs meant to flatter different body types, I liked the variety and classiness.
The founders draw from a Southern + Latin flavor creating pieces they describe as luxury within reach that take an average of 60+ hours to design.
Hermoza’s designs exude a sense of free-spirited elegance, perfect for those who love a blend of sophistication and bohemian flair. Whether it’s a flowy dress or a chic swimsuit, I can tell that the time they say goes into designing every piece is for real.
Exceptional Quality and Fit
Let’s start with the swimwear. I tried two styles of swimsuits, and both were super cute and exceptionally well-made. The fabric is high-quality, but it was the designs I loved. The one piece and the high-waisted bottoms clearly have tummy control in mind, and the tops both accentuated my cleavage in a tasteful, not over the top or in-danger-of-a-nip-slip kind of way.
I love the patterns and designs as well. They have a nice variety from solids to tasteful prints to bold colors. The attention to detail, from the stitching to the thoughtful accents, sets Hermoza apart from many other brands.
The dresses are equally impressive. I tried three styles, each with unique features and fabrics that are luxurious yet practical, perfect for both casual outings and special occasions. The extra details, like intricate embroidery and carefully placed ruffles, make it clear that Hermoza is an affordable luxury brand. These dresses are not just beautiful; they are designed to last.
The brand is dedicated to producing their clothing and swimwear in a responsible and sustainable manner. They work with carefully selected factories that uphold high standards of labor practices and environmental stewardship. The swimwear I have is from Colombia and the dresses were made in China.
The Swimwear: Stylish and Supportive
Hermoza’s swimwear has quickly become a favorite in my wardrobe. The two styles I tried were not only aesthetically pleasing but also incredibly supportive. Unlike many other swimsuits that sacrifice comfort for style, Hermoza’s provided the support I needed, enhancing my confidence, which isn’t an easy feat as I navigate my postpartum body.
I initially bought one suit so that I could test it for my post about the best mommy and me matching swim, then had to buy another because the fit was so nice. After trying several brands, I put Hermoza at the top of the list since they had the best swimwear of the many brands I tried.
I recommend sizing up if you tend to be between sizes for swim. I’m wearing a size 10 in the photo above, but would have fit a 12 better.
Mommy and Me
For my toddler, the matching swimsuits were adorable and well-constructed. Hermoza’s attention to detail extends to their children’s line, and the swimsuits are both cute and durable.
Unfortunately they don’t have rash guards like Minnow or Boden or some of the other swim brands I love, but I do appreciate that they put more emphasis on making mom look good. While they don’t currently have as many boys styles, the mother and daughter matching line is adorable.
The Dresses: Flattering and Classic
I tried three different dress styles, each with their own flavor. The fabrics used in these dresses are thick and luxurious. Some styles feature lightweight chiffon materials, perfect for warm weather, while others are more substantial, perfect for spring.
There are so many details to these dresses. Many of them are adorned with intricate buttons, added belts, collars, and all of them are lined. This is what I love about higher end clothing vs. fast fashion. The florals are particularly lovely, with vibrant prints that bring a bohemian flair to the pieces.
I have the Louisa Tunic Dress, Mini Dress, and Saffron Collar Neck Dress, though it seems like all of their styles are limited release and don’t stick around for too long.
I like that they give a feeling of elegance and provide nice coverage without being boring.
The Hermoza Story: Female Founded
Hermoza was founded by Tiffany Rivers and Marisa De Lecce, both of whom are moms (we love a female-run brand!) The brand quickly gained a following and has been featured in Time, Travel + Leisure, and Oprah Magazine.
Tiffany rivers is a mom of 10, and while I’m not into defining a woman by her husband’s success, I did grow up a Chargers fan and she’s the wife of Phil Rivers for my fellow football lovers. Marisa is a former healthcare worker and daughter of first generation immigrants.
Hermoza is based in Southern California, coincidentally like a few of my favorite brands, including Rylee + Cru and Little Trouble.
The Verdict: Is Hermoza Worth It?
So, is Hermoza worth it? It’s not cheap, though they do frequently have sales and offer 15% off for first time purchases. Their pieces are not only stylish and functional but also crafted with a level of care that makes them stand out as affordable luxury items.
Hermoza is a brand that captures the essence of bohemian elegance with its vibrant designs and commitment to quality. The swimwear is both stylish and supportive, while the dresses offer a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. The brand’s dedication to ethical manufacturing and meticulous quality control shows. For me, that’s worth every penny.
