The BEST Family Matching Christmas PJs (We’ve Tried Them All!)
I used to think matching family outfits were a little cheesy, and then I became a mom and somehow found myself enthusiastically shopping for coordinating Christmas pajamas. It’s funny how quickly things change once there’s a cute little person involved.
One of my favorite things about Christmas with a young child is getting to create our own traditions, and matching pajamas are such an easy one. Whether we’re opening presents, making Christmas breakfast, or spending the morning lounging around the house, there’s something adorable about everyone wearing the same festive print. I’ve tried quite a few pajama brands over the years, and some are absolutely worth spending more on while others are better for a one-time Christmas photo.
Best Family Christmas PJs Quick List:
- Best Classy, minimalist match: Rylee + Cru
- Most likely to be worn all year: Kyte Baby
- Best Bamboo: Little Sleepies
- Best Organic Cotton: Quince
- Best for accessories and pets too: Caden Lane
1. Little Sleepies: Best Bamboo

Little Sleepies has been one of our favorite bamboo baby clothing brands since my son was a baby, and we actually bought our first matching family set for Christmas. They were so ridiculously soft and comfortable that I ended up buying another set for all of us, but in a print that didn’t scream Christmas, since Garrett and I loved them so much that they became our regular lounging-around-the-house uniforms long after Christmas was over.
What I particularly appreciate about Little Sleepies is how stretchy they are, which means kids can wear them for much longer than you’d expect. Their bamboo viscose fabric feels buttery soft, and their Christmas collections typically include everything from traditional holiday prints to more playful designs. They’re not cheap, and the fabric can pill over time, but they’re still my top choice if you want matching pajamas your family will actually wear regularly.
2. Kyte Baby: You’ll Keep Wearing These!

Kyte Baby was another staple in our household when my son was little, and I’ve purchased pajamas for both myself and Garrett as well. Their bamboo fabric is incredibly soft, and what I’ve always preferred about Kyte compared to Little Sleepies is the more understated patterns. I’m generally drawn to classic colors and simpler patterns, and Kyte does that beautifully.
Their coordinated family pajamas are a great option if you prefer a more subtle holiday look over bright red Christmas trees and cartoon Santas. I also recommend ordering early because shipping has sometimes taken longer than I’d like.
3. Rylee + Cru: Understated Elegance

Rylee + Cru is one of my absolute favorite brands for children’s clothing. They do mother and son matching and matching swim so well without it being overwhelming, and their holiday pajamas are just as beautiful. I love their muted colors, timeless patterns, and the fact that their collections are designed around coordinating color palettes. We have quite a bit of Rylee + Cru in our son’s wardrobe, and it’s amazing how easily everything mixes and matches, even when he’s the one picking out his outfits.
Their Christmas collection includes matching pajamas for kids and adults, with beautiful ginghams, plaids, and understated holiday colors. This brand is pretty much all my son wears out and about too (full Rylee + Cru review here). These are on the expensive side, but I love that they look stylish without sacrificing that cozy Christmas morning feeling.
4. Quince: Best Affordable Luxury Organic Cotton

Quince is one of my favorite brands to look at for elevated basics without the designer price tag. Their holiday pajama collection includes bamboo (we love their bamboo baby wear), organic cotton, and flannel options, with classic Christmas plaids and festive patterns. I particularly appreciate that you can find children’s pajamas for around $20–35, which is considerably less than many of the premium bamboo brands.
Their approach is a little different from brands that make identical matching sets for every family member. You can coordinate holiday prints for the kids with complementary pajamas for the adults, which I actually prefer sometimes. Not everyone in the family needs to be wearing the exact same Santa print for the photos to look adorable, and I love the idea of getting pajamas we can keep wearing throughout winter.
5. Caden Lane: Best for Festive Christmas Prints

Caden Lane is another bamboo clothing and family matching swim brand I’ve featured on Parenthood Adventures, and their Christmas prints are particularly adorable. They offer everything from classic holiday plaid to playful Santa designs, with coordinating pajamas for babies, kids, and adults. Their soft, stretchy bamboo fabric is great for little ones who don’t appreciate anything scratchy against their skin.
What I especially like is how many coordinating accessories they offer, including blankets and even some pet accessories. You can really commit to the matching family Christmas aesthetic if you want to, although personally I think getting my partner and son into matching pajamas is already a pretty solid accomplishment.
Since we don’t need a new set every year, I also cheat by buying next year’s size for my son, knowing dad and I will still fit into ours for years to come. Especially since we’re a green-loving family, keeping it understated is perfect for us, though if you’re a bold pattern loving family, there’s definitely plenty on this list for you, too!
