14 Best Mommy and Me Matching Shoes

To my fellow parents who love a mini and me matching moment, I get you. Ever since my son was born, I’ve dabbled in a matching outfit here and there before doing a deep dive recently into the best matching brands, and it doesn’t have to start and end with clothing.

For those who might not want to go all the way with head to toe matching (or for those who do!) footwear can be the perfect answer.

mommy and me matching shoes

Many of these brands will be familiar favorites, and it’s just the icing on the cake that they come in mini versions, too. These are the best mommy and me matching shoes:

1. Converse: Classic Cool

When it comes to timeless kicks, Converse is king. Chuck Taylors are iconic, and they’re just plain adorable in little sizes. Plus, with prices starting from $30 for kids to $70 for adults, you can’t beat the value for the style you get. They’re perfect for casual outings or chasing your little one around the park.

Lacing up shoes on a toddler is off of my mom bingo card, so I appreciate that they have an easy-on velcro option, though you can go for the traditional laces, too. They also allow you to totally customize shoes for both parents and littles, which ensures they’ll actually match. This can sometimes be a challenge with other brands!

2. Vans: Skate Park Chic

For a dose of skater style, look no further than Vans. With their classic skate shoes and iconic checkerboard pattern (or solids if you prefer), these kicks are the epitome of cool. Whether you’re hitting the ramps or just hanging out, Vans sneakers add a laid-back vibe to any outfit. And with prices ranging from $30 to $80, they won’t break the bank either.

I love the idea of pairing these with Little Trouble’s clothing line, which also has mommy and me matching options, for the full look!

3. Air Jordans: Sporty Chic

For those who want to add a touch of athletic flair to their mommy and me look, Air Jordans are a slam dunk. With their high-performance design and iconic logos, it’s about as cool as it gets. I honestly never had interest in Air Jordans until I realized they came in a mini version. It’s hard to imagine anything cuter than a little kid in high tops.

If you buy new, the parent version will set you back $60+ for the toddler version, over $100 for the bigger kids version, and $125+ for adults. I often search secondhand first when it comes to kid’s shoes as well. I’ve found great barely worn or even new options on Mercari. It’s also a great place to sell gently used items when you’re done.

4. Adidas: Three Stripe Life

Adidas is all about versatility. Whether you’re rocking classic Stan Smiths or trendy Superstars, these kicks in the kid’s version are truly adorable and cool at the same time. I was all about these in middle school, and as an adult, I’m appreciating how solidly constructed these are both for me and my son.

Thanks to a collaboration I did with Adidas with my other blog, my kid is pretty much set for his entire toddlerhood for shoes, and I made sure to grab us a matching pair! Prices start at $45 for kids and upwards of $125 for adults. They also have three stripe tracksuits that you can get in mama and mini sizes. We have a few!

5. Ugg: Cold Weather Comfort

As a millennial from California, it’s pretty much part of our uniform to wear UGGs in the winter (and speaking of, I’ve had mine for over a decade!), and when my toddler came along, I wanted him to feel the same foot hug.

We were actually gifted a pair of tiny baby hand me down Uggs from friends, and once my kiddo was walking, I got him another lightly used pair off of Mercari and we’ve used them all winter long (save for snow days). They are adorable, but I recommend getting the ones that velcro all the way down on both sides as they can otherwise be challenging to get on.

6. Birkenstock: Comfort is Key

YOU GUYS! Birkenstocks come in mini versions too! I know I keep saying everything is adorable, but this is next level. If comfort is your top priority, Birkenstock sandals are a must-have in the summertime, and this hippie chic can extend to our little ones, too.

Known for their contoured footbeds and cork soles, these sandals are like walking on clouds. I will personally probably wait until my little guy is a bit older since they have open toes and I preferred close-toed sandals while he is still getting proficient at walking and running, but after that, it’s game on! Prices run from $60 for kids to $130 for adults.

7. Little Mia Bella: Fancy Dress

Looking for something for a special occassion, or want something with a little more flair? From mama and mini cowboy boots to glittery slip ons for weddings or sandals for beachy vacations, this is the ultimate daughter and mama shoe destination. I would be all over these adorable cowboy boots if I had a girl!

With prices starting at $35, it’s one of the more affordable places on this list to look for matching shoes. Use code KRISTIN10 for 10% off!

8. Toms: One for One

Toms is all about giving back, and their mommy and me shoes are no exception. With every pair purchased, they donate a pair to a child in need. Plus, with prices ranging from $30 to $70, you can feel good about your purchase while looking stylish too.

I used to love Toms for festivals or trips to Europe – anywhere I’d be on my feet and would want close-toed shoes. They’re the perfect lightweight travel shoes to pack for your next trip.

9. Sorel: Matching Snow Boots

If you live somewhere snowy or are going on a ski trip, it’s a good idea to get your kiddo some snow boots. You can usually get these secondhand without much wear, or if you’re dying to match, grab a couple pairs of Sorels – a great brand for snow boots. Ours have certainly come in handy where we live near Lake Tahoe, and I love that they truly keep my son’s feet warm.

The adult versions are awesome, too, and is a brand I have no hesitation counting on for waterproofness and warmth.

10. Puma: Sleek and Stylish

Puma is all about sporty design and modern style, whether you’re rocking classic suede sneakers or high-performance running shoes. They have a similar price point and vibe of Adidas , but they have their own styles and colors with that iconic puma logo. Price-wise, it’s also similar ranging from $40 to $120.

11. Crocs: Fun and Functional

It seems like every little kid these days is rocking Crocs. I will admit to being a crocs hater when they started to gain popularity, I couldn’t understand why anyone would want to wear some thing that looked so, in my opinion, ugly. Then I tried on a pair of my friend’s while we were camping and it felt like walking on a cloud. I get it now.

Crocs are the ultimate in fun and functionality. With their lightweight design and comfortable fit, you’ll want to wear them everywhere. And with prices ranging from $20 to $60, they’re cheaper than most of this list. They also have a close-toed design, which I like for the littles, and they’re so fast and easy to slip on and off.

12. Skechers: Comfort Meets Style

Skechers is all about comfort, and their mommy and me shoes are no exception. With their memory foam sneakers and lightweight slip-ons, you’ll feel like you’re walking on air. This is another brand I rocked hardcore in middle school and hadn’t thought about until I came across their matching options, but these days they have wayyyy edgier patterns and designs than they once did. Think rolling stones and light up unicorns, or bright pink sneakers!

With prices ranging from $30 to $100, these are perfect for busy days running errands or exploring the great outdoors with your mini-me. I only wish the light up rainbows came in adult sizes, too. Sketchers, are you listening?

13. Keds: Classic Charm

Keds are the epitome of classic charm. With their canvas sneakers and timeless appeal, you never have to worry about matching because they match with everything. And with prices ranging from $30 to $70, you can’t beat the value. Perfect for casual outings, picnics in the park, or just hanging out with your mini-me.

That said, they are all white (though you can opt for another color) and their classics lace up, which I’ve already mentioned is rough with a toddler, but with older kids, it could be perfect!

14. Timberlands

When I was doing my research, I wondered to myself in Timberlands even have mini versions of their classic boots, and indeed they do! And predictably, they’re awfully cute.

They come in the classic lace-up versions as well as with velcro. However, they’re the most expensive on this list at $85 for the toddler version and $180 for mama.

If you’re looking for even more options, Zappos has an entire mommy and me section with more brands like Steve Madden, and Foot Locker has your sporty brands.

Before diving into the wild world of mommy and me, I had no idea there were so many options, but it’s been fun finding ways to show my style with my son as well, and we’ve enjoyed our matching moments (or at least, I definitely have!)
